Recruitment Teams

Isabelle Abt | Vice President of Recruitment

“Hi Roos!

My name is Isabelle Abt, and I serve as the Vice President of Recruitment for the Delta Phi chapter of Alpha Delta Pi. I am so excited to welcome you to UMKC this year and help you find your home away from home through sorority recruitment! At Alpha Delta Pi we are guided by our four core values of character, sisterhood, service, and knowledge. These values shape everything we do from creating strong leaders and meaningful friendships to achieving academic success and giving back to our community. Our motto, “We Live for Each Other,” truly reflects the love we hold for our sisterhood. Whether we’re exploring the city, sharing dinner, crafting or simply spending time together, we are always living for one another. Through this sisterhood we come together to impact our community, and one of our favorite ways of doing so is volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House. Each week, sisters come together to cook homemade meals for families navigating childhood illness. Being able to directly support and uplift these families is incredibly rewarding, and is an experience that will stick with me lifelong. In addition, we host philanthropy events each semester such as Pi-Hop and Pi-Fest that have raised thousands of dollars to support this cause. Another philanthropy we closely support is the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation which provides scholarships to members, helping to manage the cost of education and to encourage academic excellence. We have seen this impact on a sister this past year when she received this scholarship, helping her continue pursuing her goals. Through the academic support of our chapter, our members consistently excel, with many being accepted into competitive programs including dental, law, medical school, and many more! My membership in Alpha Delta Pi has truly been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The friendships, opportunities, and support I’ve found here have shaped me in ways I never imagined, and I am so grateful to be surrounded by such driven and inspiring women. I am looking forward to meeting you all and helping you discover your place at UMKC. I hope you find a home just as special as the one I have!

Pi love,

Isabelle Abt, Vice President of Recruitment Alpha Delta Pi”

Natalie Till | Recruitment Chair

“Welcome to UMKC!

My name is Natalie Till, and I am honored to serve as Recruitment Chair for the Lambda Zeta chapter of Chi Omega. I am so excited for each of you to discover a place where you belong—just as I did during sorority recruitment my first fall here! Chi Omega is built on six guiding purposes: friendship, personal integrity, service to others, academic excellence, community and campus development, and career and personal growth. Since 1895, these values have stood the test of time, helping us grow as individuals while forming meaningful, lifelong connections. Throughout the semester, we host optional sisterhood events—from line dancing and trips to Worlds of Fun, to trampoline parks and cheering at Royals games! These experiences strengthen our bonds and foster a true sense of belonging within the chapter. While we love having fun together, Philanthropy is at the heart of Chi Omega. Each semester, we host events supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation, raising both funds and awareness for children with chronic illnesses. Just last year, we had the privilege of granting wishes for two incredible children, Me’asia and Dorothy, raising over $20,000. Meeting them and their families was unforgettable—a powerful reminder of the impact of service and the way it deepens our own connections to one another. We also take pride in supporting each other academically, remembering always that we are students first. From study sessions to encouragement during finals, Chi Omega provides an environment where members feel empowered to thrive. Being a Chi Omega has been the most rewarding part of my time at UMKC. The friendships, personal growth, and inspiration I’ve gained here will stay with me for a lifetime. I sincerely hope you find the same sense of home and sisterhood as you begin your journey at UMKC. The best advice I can give is to keep an open mind and an open heart! I can’t wait to meet each of you soon!

With love,

Natalie Till, Recruitment Chair Chi Omega”

Sydney Snelson | Vice President of Membership

“Hi Roos!!

My name is Sydney Snelson, and I am the Vice President of Membership of the Xi-Phi Chapter of Delta Zeta here at UMKC. I’m excited to help you find your home this fall during fall sorority recruitment! In Delta Zeta, we value our strong community of unique women who support, care for, and lift each other up. We strive to promote curiosity, community, empowerment, belonging, generosity, and, of course, friendship. These six values allow us to embody our passion for academics, philanthropy, and sisterhood in our organization. Throughout the semester, we hold many events that help us get involved and prosper as young women. These include sisterhoods to Royals’ games, puppy yoga, movie nights, and countless coffee trips. Delta Zeta also takes great pride in our academic performance and aims to empower and support members during their college experience by holding study nights to ensure we hold each other accountable. Along with those, each semester we host a Philanthropy Week to support our national philanthropy, Hearing & Speech, as well as our partners: Starkey Hearing Foundation, American Society for Deaf Children, Serious Fun Children’s Network, and our local organization, KC Paws. Our events not only raise money for these charities but also raise awareness for their causes. Delta Zeta is deeply embedded in the deaf community, and our sisters work to incorporate that into our everyday lives by signing our creed in American Sign Language (ASL) and learning new words and phrases to deepen our partnership. Joining Delta Zeta has greatly enhanced my UMKC experience and helped me develop as a young woman. I grew up feeling out of place and struggled to connect with other girls. After cycling through friendships, forcing myself into boxes that didn’t fit, and attempting to put myself out there over and over, nothing ever felt right. Oftentimes during recruitment, girls feel scared that their true selves won’t be enough. But Delta Zeta truly values every girl that walks through our doors, even if they aren’t a sister. We see different parts of ourselves in all of our sisters, and we want to make sure you feel seen, too. I’m so excited to meet all of you very soon!

DZLAM,

Sydney Snelson, Vice President of Membership, Delta Zeta”
